National Public Safety Telecommunicators Appreciation Week

Did you know the Toms River Fire Department has an emergency dispatcher on duty 24/7? The week of April 15th, 2024 is designated National Public Safety Telecommunicators Appreciation week, also known as Dispatcher Appreciation Week. Our dispatchers are the front line contacts for all incoming calls to the fire department working seamlessly with the police department dispatchers and Ocean County Sheriff’s Communications dispatchers with answering calls for service and relaying important information to our first responders in the field.
