Green Island Community Association Memorial Day Ceremony
This morning, the Officers & Members of Silverton Volunteer Fire Company, along with Boy Scout Troop 59 sponsored by the fire company, members of American Legion Post 129, military members representing each branch of service, representatives from the Toms River Township Council Silverton Wards, the Council President, and the residents of Green Island, attended the Green Island Community Association Memorial Day Ceremony hosted by the American Legion Post 129 Riders & Green Island Community Association.
Once again, we thank the Green Island Community for always including the Silverton Volunteer Fire Company in this meaningful event honoring our nation’s heroes.
Unfortunately, due to the weather, the memorial ceremony was moved inside the clubhouse, and we were unable to display the large American Flag from Ladder 2905 this year.
